Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, the President the University of Zakho, the Department of Sports Activities organized a friendly-football match between the University of Zakho and Zakho Sport Institute on October 5, 2023. The match took place in sports hall at the university campus and as a result Zakho University won the match. 

Noteworthy, the primary purpose of friendly matches is to provide teams with an opportunity to test strategies, give playing time to different players, build team chemistry, and prepare for the upcoming Kurdistan Region Universities Futsal Championship.
